Star Wars: I - VI

The wait is over. Now that the series is complete we can rank the two trilogies from best to worst.

Starting with:

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Stole the show: Qui Gonn

Best Part: Rod Race

Ranking in the Series: 6

One word summary: Underwhelming

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Stole the show: Yoda

Best Part: Yoda Fight & Speeder Chase

Ranking in the series: 3

One word summary: Balanced

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Stole the show: Obi Wan Kenobi

Best Part: Opening and closing scenes

Ranking in the series: 5

One word summary: Overwhelming

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Stole the show: Everyone in top form

Best Part: Too many to mention

Ranking in the Series: 1

One word summary: Best by virtue of being first

Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Stole the show: Darth Vader

Best Part: Wampa and Cloud City

Ranking in the Series: 2

One word summary: Close second

Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Best Part: Jabba's Palace/Rescuing Han

Worst Part: Do you have to ask? (Ewoks)

Of course because the rankings are subjective, they may change over time. Sometimes Empire may be higher or AOTC might be lower. Do classic performances outweigh modern digital technology? I say yes.

But at the end of the day Star Wars was a fun long ride for it's intended audience.
