Sony PSP
Ok, I have to admit. I have a bad habit of buying things and sticking them in the closet.
Can you say GameCube, Playstation, XBOX or Sony PSP?
In all fairness I did crack open the XBOX pretty early on. It now serves as our secondary DVD player (don't ask).
The GameCube I was really impressed with once I had the time to try it out. This is the perfect present for the Future Gamers of America. But more on that later.
I always suspected that the Sony PSP was the darkhorse of modern electronics. Why? Because it actually serves more than one function. The iPOD has just come out with a digital player. Is this a bold attempt to save market share or a lame attempt to catch up with Sony?
If you had a device that could easily transfer pictures, play music, watch movies and play video games what would you call it? You could call it the Sony PSP (OK that was a trick question).
The screen is beautiful and much more vivid than looking through the back of your digital camera. So put your camera away and pull out the PSP when you want to share those pictures with family and friends.
Will it replace Sony PS2 or PS3 (or in all fairness XBOX 360)? That question kind of answers itself.
But if you are looking for the perfect travel companion, there is no other device that pleases on so many fronts. And before I forget its time to time open that box and see what else it might do.
